Aim and Methods. Clinical and pathogenetic significance of immuno-inflammatory response in the occurrence of coronary heart disease (CHD) in patients with essential hypertension (EH) is insufficiently studied. In order to determine the concentration of immuno-inflammatory markers in the blood plasma, interleukin-1β (IL-1β), interleukin-10 (IL-10), high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (HS-CRP) and their relationship with endothelial function (according to end-point metabolites of nitric oxide and reactive hyperemia) a comprehensive study of 180 patients with stage II EH was conducted. Clinical examination, determination of serum levels of IL-1β, IL-10, HS-CRP level NO2 and NO3, endothelium-dependent vasodilation were provided.
Results and conclusion. It was discovered that level of IL-1β was significantly higher in patients with CHD in combination with EH in the group of patients with HTN without CHD. NO2 level was significantly lower in the group of patients with CHD combined with EH. HS-CRP concentration in the group of CHD patients in combination with EH was in 1.6 times higher than in the group of EH patients without CHD. In the group of EH patients there was revealed inverse correlation between the level of IL-1β and NO2 (R = - 0,28, p = 0,001), and between levels of HS-CRP and NO2 (R = - 0,33, p = 0,001).
