Aim. To draw the attention of physicians - internists to the problem of thrombocytopenia and hemorrhagic vasculitis. To describe the clinical case of idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, features of diagnostics and treatment of this disease at various stages of medical care, to highlight some aspects of the epidemiology, pathogenesis, modern diagnostics and treatment of disease.
Methods and results. The article describes a clinical case of disease in a woman of 30 years. The diagnosis was set based on an analysis of complaints and a history of the disease; identify the classic rash of microcirculatory type on the skin as well as the results of additional investigation. The basic stages of diagnostic search and conducted differential diagnosis, the dynamics of the patient, laboratory parameters and the results of instrumental examination are presented. The treatment and its results are briefly described.
Conclusion. Always try to determine the cause of thrombocytopenia. The clinical case and some highlighted aspects of the modern treatment and emergency care of hemorrhagic syndrome, caused by decreasing of platelet count should help practicing physicians to help such patients.
