Focus and Scope

Zaporozhye Medical Journal, established in 1999, is an independent scientific and practical publication dedicated to advancing fundamental and clinical research in medicine and pharmacy while fostering the exchange of scientific and practical expertise. The journal features original research, fundamental studies, reviews, and clinical case reports, covering key topics in healthcare, clinical and theoretical medicine. Its areas of focus include cardiology, endocrinology, dentistry, pediatrics, gynecology, dermatology, traumatology and orthopedics, ophthalmology, psychiatry, surgery and oncologic surgery, as well as pharmacy, industrial pharmacy, and other related disciplines.

According to the decision of the Certification Board of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine dated October 25, 2023, the journal has been accredited as a Category "A" scientific publication in Ukraine. It is authorized to publish dissertation research findings required for obtaining the degrees of Doctor of Sciences, Candidate of Sciences, and Doctor of Philosophy.

Article Types

Zaporozhye Medical Journal welcomes submissions in the following categories:

  • Original / Basic research. This section features clinical and experimental studies conducted using modern methodologies and techniques. Submitted research must be based on a sufficient dataset to ensure reliable conclusions and must include statistical analysis of quantitative data.
  • Reviews. The journal publishes in-depth review articles on current and emerging issues in fundamental and clinical medicine. Reviews should be based on a comprehensive analysis of literature from the past five years.
  • Clinical Cases. This section presents reports on rare diseases and their pathomorphology, as well as atypical manifestations of known conditions with detailed morphological descriptions. These reports aim to provide medical practitioners with insights into rare diseases, their clinical presentations, diagnostic challenges, and treatment approaches.

 

Zaporozhye Medical Journal does not accept:

  • Articles that have been previously published or submitted to other journals.
  • Studies that have lost relevance or are based on outdated methodologies.
  • Papers on healthcare management, medical statistics, or education.
  • Articles focused on mathematical modeling of pathological processes.
  • Educational and methodological articles.
